21 Jun 2021

Lee Nak-yeon, former chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, announced on the 20th that he looked around the equipment and interior after boarding the autonomous vehicle in front of the Sejong City Council on the 19th. After giving a lecture at the inauguration ceremony of 'The Country That Protects My Life, the New Welfare Sejong Forum', former CEO Lee boarded a self-driving car operated commercially by Kakao Mobility and Autonomous a2z.

Before boarding, former CEO Lee directly called the car through the Kakao T app and even paid for it. I experienced autonomous driving in the 5km section from the Sejong City Council to the Sejong Library.

Jang Seong-wook, managing director of Kakao Mobility, and Han Ji-hyeong, CEO of Autonomous a2z, an autonomous driving technology partner, explained the autonomous driving equipment and the inside. We had time to talk about the future development direction of the IT industry, such as autonomous driving, and the role of the government and companies.
