Autonomous a2z (CEO Han Ji-hyeong), an autonomous driving solution company, was selected as the preferred bidder (consortium member) for the 'Busan Eco Delta Smart City' (EDC) national pilot city construction project with a total project cost of about 5.4 trillion won. Autonomous a2z will be in charge of 'autonomous driving platform production and operation service' for the introduction of autonomous driving mobility service in this business.

The Busan Eco Delta Smart City National Pilot City Project is the largest smart city project in Korea ordered by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Korea Water Resources Corporation. Commercial, business, residential, cultural and energy facilities with cutting-edge technology will be built on a 2.8 km2 (840,000 pyeong) site in Gangseo-gu, Busan.

State-of-the-art information technology, including the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI), will be applied, and a service (MaaS) that integrates reservation and payment for public transportation and autonomous driving mobility with a mobile app (application) will also be applied. The total business scale is 5.4 trillion won. The project period is 5 years for construction and 10 years for operation, totaling 15 years.

LG CNS (LG CNS) is the representative of 'The Person Consortium', which was selected as the preferred bidder for finance, construction, autonomous driving, mobility, robot, AI data, digital twin, healthcare, cybersecurity, and smart IoT. (Internet of Things), life innovation service, etc., are formed by gathering companies in key industries necessary for building smart cities. Autonomous a2z was in charge of autonomous driving.

“The most important thing for autonomous driving in a smart city is to overcome the limitations of sensors by connecting autonomous vehicles, infrastructure, and control,” said Han Ji-hyeong, CEO of Autonomous a2z. “Domestic companies We will realize fully autonomous driving in smart cities based on the technology that has been registered in the 'Voluntary Safety Self-Assessment' (VSSA) by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for the first time."
